What is the difference between the smart fit and traditional Steve Price asked on February 23, 2025

The smartfit ferrule came out in 2000 to combine with our ST2000 cup. The Ferrule and Cup interlock so that the flagstick will not spin inside the cup and also the cup has more area for dirt, sand, debris (think top dressing) to fall to the bottom so that the ferrule will not stick inside the cup. The traditional ferrule is simply a smooth ferrule, no notches or any mechanism to “interlock” with a cup.
